Is it possible to desalinate cashews?

OK, Staples had a clearance sale on 33 ounce jars of cashews for $2.50. I bought four of them. I'm going to have cashews for a year. The only trouble is, they are salted. Yuck.

Are cashews washable? I know, I know, I can try it and see. I'm just asking because I might end up giving them away instead.

Thanks.

Use them in cooking and cut back on the salt in the recipe...
Cashew nut chicken, for example.

Edt... I've been thinking about the rinsing option. I don't think they'll get mushy.

Try it with a small batch.
1) rinse in a strainer.
2) Dry as well as you can... use a salad spinner or a lot of paper towels.
3) Place on a baking sheet and bake at 425 for about 10 minutes... This is a guess, but keep an eye on the cashews so they don't burn. You can try a lower temperature and cook longer if needed.
