I want to hold a vintage (1950s) baby shower. Any ideas?
I have collected some vintage ceramic baby themed planters from the 50s to use as center pieces and I have found some old fashioned invitations. Does any one have any creative ideas for decorations, games, favors or food? Thanks!
I've added a great blog post for you here from Hostess with the Mostess. I guess for the decorations it depends if you are hosting indoors or outdoors but either way it's always good to try to pick a colour theme and stick with it. You can do tableclothes in a light colour to accent your lovely ceramic planters, if you can find inspiration with your invitations then decorating the event will be a piece of cake!
As for the food, they sure loved their casserole's and soda pop in the 50's so you wouldn't go wrong with a great pot pie (or individual ones) if it's a sit down meal, if it's a day thing than little sandwiches with the crust cut off would be lovely too!
