Final Fantasy VII help....?

I have just defeated Palmer and now have that stupid boat-plane thingy. I looked at several walk throughs and am told I must go to the Gold Saucer area. I got here and now I'm in some desert and don't know where to go. I keep running into a chocobo that gives me a ride all the way backfrom where I started.Can someone please help me? Thanks

You need to take the tram from North Correl (town up in the mountains that you should have passed through after leaving Costa del Sol, and before you got to the Gongaga/Nibelheim/Cosmo Canyon/Rocket Town region). The desert surrounding the Gold Saucer is impassable on foot, so the tram is the only way in.
