Can you help me find some german, french, and italian art songs for a voice recital?
I'm a soprano looking for some spanish, german, french, italian, love art songs for an upcoming recitals. The only one that I can think of is Chanson d' amore.
They have to be love songs by the way.,
For German, try songs by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms. They wrote several really beautiful songs you can choose from. Even Schubert's famous "Ave Maria" was originally a German translation of a Walter Scott poem, and not the traditional Latin liturgical text that is often awkwardly sung instead.
For French, try songs by Gabriel Faure, Claude Debussy, Cesar Franck and Charles Gounod.
For Italian, my goodness! What isn't in Italian? How many voice students have learned "Caro Mio Ben" and "Tu Lo Sai"? What about "O Cessate di Piagarmi" and "Pur Dicesti O Bocca Bella"?
I'm going to give you links to some free (and legal since it's public domain) sheet music. Plus you can buy a lot of these songs and songbooks from other online sources like musicnotes.com and sheetmusicplus.com

Just search for what you need. A plus is that art songs come in different keys. Unlike opera arias that should be sung in the original key they were written in, it is an acceptable practice when singing art songs to choose a key best suited for an individual singer's voice.
