Boston Celtics' # 8 Jeff Green...not providing that spark?
We were all told by Doc Rivers back when Jeff Green (and Krstic) became Celtics, that it mainly was for his guys to return to their Championship-winning form of 2008. Doc especially stated it was to help Pierce get decent bench-support from a key guy down the stretch. Forgot that guys name, but he was a small forward like Paul, but traded after they won that season; elsewhere.
Anyways, ... ...
question =
• 1. How is Jeff Green doing in that department?
• 2. It's been several games and then some for Doc to see if that gamble paid off! Is Green the quote 'Real McCoy'??!?
• 3. Who WAS that guy that left the Celtics after 2008, ..I think it was at SF too?
IF Green is a bust,
• 4. Would a) Detroit's SF Tayshaun Prince be a good addition? or b) Philly's SF Evan Turner?
Jeff Green has done pretty decent, he has had some good games. He just needs to conform to the Celtic offense and get an understanding of what his role is. I really tried to like Krstic but he just does not fit, he isn't very aggressive yet still gets in foul trouble quite a bit - and he has no sense of the basket when he is under it.
I think Green will only get better with this team as the season goes on, though.
