Did you see the movie, Green Zone with Matt Damon?
How close to the truth was that portrayal of 2003 in Iraq? -specifically intelligence aspect?
Sorry, I didn't arrive in Iraq until 2004...and by that time Matt Damon must have already left the country.
I actually wasted 2 hours of my life last year watching that movie during some downtime at the base I was on at the time in Iraq. All I can tell you is that Hollywood directors, producers and actors do not have access to actual intelligence reports now...or when this movie was made. Meaning, they just made up the "intelligence" reports portrayed in the movie or used stories and anecdotes that people who might actually have been in Iraq at the time told over 15 or 20 beers and for a few bucks from the movie makers. But just because it sounded good...sounded as if it might have been true/...doesn't mean it was even close to the reality of what happened in 2003.
And besides, can you name one movie Matt Damon has been in that wasn't biased against the military at some level? And that's OK...that's his privilege as an actor to choose what movies he acts in or supports.
