How do you learn what an unmarked item? Pottery, china, glass?
How do you know what an item is if it is unmarked, such as glass, china, pottery and other stuff of that nature?
Usually by it's design, and materials used to make it. I have some old pottery from China's Han, Wan, Song, and Ming dynasties, I had to have them photographed and added captions to the pictures, otherwise I couldn't tell you what is what, except the ming, it's a lot more decrative, and higher quality materials.
